Tim Boulenger
I was born in Sydney, Australia, on April 2, 1985. My mother is Anglo-Chinese-Tahitian, and my father is French. I spent most of my childhood in French Polynesia on the island of Tahiti, where I developed a passion for the ocean, especially for surfing and spearfishing. During my school years, I became a talented basketball player, standing at 1.95 meters, contributing to the success of my school (Paul Gauguin High School), which won the inter-school championship two consecutive years. I also swam at a national level.
After obtaining my baccalaureate, I traveled to Australia to explore the world and broaden my horizons. In 2007, I decided to enroll at the University of the Sunshine Coast to pursue a degree in Sports Science. During my university studies, I had the opportunity to participate in the "Mister Australia" competition, which I won, leading to my participation in other international competitions such as "Mister World" in South Korea.
After completing my degree in 2010, I moved to Sydney to work in a surf school as an instructor and high-performance expert. In 2015, I returned to the University of the Sunshine Coast to complete a postgraduate diploma in education to become a teacher of sports and science. In 2018, I chose to return to Polynesia, partly to live my passion for the ocean but also to be surrounded by the people I love.
